New Resident Kit

The new resident kit has been designed to direct you to all the services Gunnedah has to offer to make your relocation as easy as possible.

You may wish to start with a town tour. Maps and local information can be obtained from the Visitors Centre. This tour takes you right through the town showing off many of its attractions and community facilities.

Council offers a wide range of services such as waste collection, water and community facilities such as the heated swimming pool. The council would be happy to speak with you about the facilities on offer and can be contacted during normal business hours on (02) 6740 2100. Tourism

A With one of the largest and healthiest koala colonies in Australia, getting close to these beautiful creatures at the stunning Waterways Wildlife Park can become a reality. You can even see them in the wild on one of our many defined bushwalking tracks. If caravanning, camping and water sports are more your style, catch the action at Lake Keepit State Park, just a short drive from Gunnedah. Whilst in Gunnedah you can visit perhaps the best rural museum in Australia or take in an auctioneer's call at the Gunnedah Saleyards every Tuesday
